Modern, well-equipped and very comfortable holiday cottage on El Hierro with private pool in a privileged location in the El Golfo Valley.
Villa Mocanes is situated in a privileged position on a hill. The holiday cottage offers a breathtaking view at the sea and the mountains. In the district of the same name – Mocanes – in the municipality of Frontera amidst a subtropical fenced garden of around 800 m². Moreover, the villa offers sufficient space for up to 7 guests on a living space of around 160 m².
The split-level construction creates a generous ambience and lifestyle. The house has a residential wing and a dormitory wing. A total of 3 double bedrooms as well as one single bedroom are available, all with TV. The two bathrooms are bright and modern and equipped with shower columns with hydromassage.
Ideal for hobby chefs: The kitchen is extensively equipped and allows the preparation of tasty holiday menus. The open living room offers with two comfortable sofas and a chimney, wooden beam ceilings, the homely wood parquet and with views of the pool an ideal ambiance for a relaxed evening after an eventful vacation day.
Outdoor area
Directly in front of the living room there is a covered pergola with high-quality lounge furniture and a generous dining table overlooking the skin-friendly saltwater swimming pool and the sea. The organic shape of the pool blends harmoniously into the garden.
In the back part of the spacious garden there is an outdoor kitchen with barbecue and wood oven. Sporty guests can relax at the table tennis during a match. In the courtyard is the parking area for 2 cars, the gate to the entrance opens by remote control.
This extraordinary holiday villa definitely is an ideal place to slow down and relax – far away from the hustle and bustle of today’s fast pace.
Villa Mocanes is located in a quiet area with breathtaking views. Its location is perfect to get to know the rest of the island. Only 5 minutes away from the town centre and 8 minutes from the coast by car. Nearby there are many places of interest, such as the natural pools of La Maceta, El Charco Azul etc.

El Hierro
The island of El Hierro is the most western and smallest of the seven Canary Islands. The landscape is varied and unspoilt. Like every island of this archipelago, El Hierro owes its existence to volcanic activity, but is one of the youngest of the seven islands, with about 1.1 million years. The volcanic origin of El Hierro is still clearly visible today, especially the southern part of the island around the coastal village La Restinga offers interesting insights into the geological past.
The year-round mild climate with average temperatures between 15 and 27 degrees Celsius is primarily determined by the north-eastern trade wind. This weather phenomenon is responsible for the fact that on the island El Hierro subtropical climate prevails pleasantly and that also a rich vegetation thrives by the humidity carried along in the trade wind clouds.
In combination with the unique geological structure of the island, there is a variety of vegetation zones, such as pine and laurel forests, fertile fields and pastures, subtropical vegetation and fascinating volcanic areas with endemic succulents. Agriculture can be found in the northwestern part: orchards and vineyards as far as the eye can see.
Another special feature of El Hierros is the starry sky, which is particularly bright due to the clean air. Due to its location in the Atlantic Ocean, the relatively sparse population and the pristine landscape, El Hierro is considered a natural paradise. The highest elevation is the 1501 metre high Malpaso. The official population of the island is approximately 11,000 people spread over a total area of 269 square kilometres. Traditional festivals such as the Bajada de la Virgen de los Reyes or the modern Bimbache open ART Festival bear witness to the joie de vivre of the Herreños – as the inhabitants of El Hierro are still called.
This unique combination makes the Canary Island of El Hierro, completely untouched by mass tourism, an ideal holiday destination for people who want to rest during their holidays and enjoy nature.
