Villa El Cielo
211
Luxury Villa with high level of comfort and infinity pool on La Palma. Its surrounded by a breathtaking landscape in an absolute private setting on.
“Cielo” is the Spanish word for Heaven. You will definitely feel closer to holiday heaven in the luxury holiday villa El Cielo.
The place is unique with regard to tranquility and the view. The secluded location, without any direct neighbours, makes this extraordinary holiday residence, situated on 34,000 sq m of land, an ideal retreat. Especially for people who are looking for privacy and calm surroundings. With some luck, the near-magical silence will be broken by the rare call of a Cory’s shearwater, the secretive national bird of the island.
Due to the open design with high ceilings and the use of huge glass doors and windows, direct contact with nature continues in the interior. The consistently tasteful and high-quality interior design was chosen by the owners with great attention to detail. The lavishly designed living room with open kitchen has an individual signature feel due to furnishing with numerous artworks and furniture of several different famous designers.
The bathroom features hand-made Moroccan tiles and a hammered washbasin from Morocco with a real silver finish.
The huge full-length panorama windows offer a fabulous view of the unspoiled natural landscape of Puntagorda from the bedroom. Of course, all windows have blinds that can be lowered automatically.
For the few cooler evenings, there is central heating as well as a fireplace. Numerous very tastefully furnished outdoor terraces, also partly covered, with one even furnished as a so-called “Skywalk”, offer a suntrap with a breathtaking view or a shaded refuge for overall wellbeing, whichever takes your fancy.
Infinity pool
A further highlight is the west-facing infinity pool, which seems to float above the surroundings. Due to the unique design and the 180-degree sea view, you seem to swim straight towards the horizon. Because of the solar heating, the swimming pleasure it is possible year round; the skin-friendly use of saltwater tops the pool experience.
This really unique architect villa on La Palma, which meets high demands and could maybe also be your holiday abode for a dream holiday for two?

Villa El Cielo is the best villa we have ever stayed at. It has everything a couple could want as part of a relaxing self catering holiday. Stunning views, a pool, a variety of cleverly sighted places to sit and relax and a wonderfully planted garden.

La Palma
The island of La Palma offers breathtaking landscapes, remote beaches, imposing volcanoes, dense forests and incomparably starry skies.
With its 708 square kilometres, an elevation of 2.426m and its shape of a heart it is the most Western island of the Canary Island chain. Like every island in this archipelago, La Palma was created by volcanic activity. It is one of the youngest of the seven islands, dating back some 1.7 million years. The volcanic origin of La Palma is still clearly recognizable today, especially the southern part of the island with the dormant volcano Teneguía which last erupted in 1971, and offers interesting insights into its geological past.
The year-round mild climate with average temperatures between 18 and 27 degrees Celsius produce spring-summerlike weather as a result of the northeast trade winds.
This weather phenomenon is responsible for a pleasant subtropical climate and a rich green vegetation that prevails because of the humidity carried along in the trade winds. These moisture rich winds at certain times of the year also create a spectacular waterfall of clouds cascading down the central mountain faces and hence the nicknames Isla Verde – Green Island and Isla Bonita – Beautiful Island.
The unique geological structure of the island with its variety of vegetation zones and microclimates that are rarely found in the world on such a small area make this island a miniature universe. Each area of the island varies completely from another. In 1983 La Palma was declared a UNESCO biosphere reserve.
Another special feature of La Palma is the unique night sky. Due to its location in the Atlantic Ocean, sparse population, minimum light pollution and highest mountain peak Roque de los Muchachos 2.426m, the island was chosen as the location for one of the largest and modern observatories in the world.
The official population of the island is approximately 80,000 people. Traditional festivals such as the Bajada de la Virgen or Los Indianos carnival, famous far beyond the island’s borders, bear witness to the zest for life of the local people (Palmeros). Not only the geographical location, but also the numerous immigrants from Central and South America show a variety of Hispanic influences in island life, cuisine and cultural.
